Narrative:
Passenger flight mun to cvg, loss of communications over the gulf of mexico. Failure of ZHU to hand us off to next center for a position report, consequently we flew out of their coverage and lost communications. Their failure to hand us off and our failure to monitor commercial radio or 121.5 over the water caused loss communications for several hundred mi until we coasted in at fagan intersection and were able to communicate with ZJX.
