Narrative:
The passenger in seat xx told me his wife was having abdominal pain and that she was pregnant. I got out the manual and followed procedures for abdominal pain. I got her an ice pack for her stomach and ice to chew on. I gave this to her and asked if there was anything else I could do. I told them I would inform the captain of her condition. I also told her husband that if she got worse to ring the call button. When I saw his wife, she just acted uncomfortable, but not in major pain. She wasn't crying or anything else to indicate that. Flight attendant #1 came back after I called captain and told them what was happening. She talked to them and told the woman to go to the first class lavatory to make sure she wasn't bleeding (miscarrying). Within a few mins, the lady came out and reported no blood. She starting acting like she was in a lot of pain. She was doubling over and holding her stomach and was crying a lot. Flight attendant #1 paged for a doctor, after she talked to cockpit and informed them of her condition. We had a doctor in first class, an orthopedic surgeon. He talked to her and found out she was 42 yrs old and 4 1/2 months pregnant. He also found out that she had a miscarriage before in her 6TH month. He decided with that information and her condition, that we should land and get her to a hospital. We diverted to tampa and the flight was met by paramedics. They took her and the flight departed for mia.
