Narrative:

Uneventful flight from tpa. Visual approach to runway 9R in atl. WX was 3500 ft scattered, 10 mi visibility, wind 110 degrees at 9 KTS, temperature 62 degrees F. Stabilized approach by 1000 ft AGL. Flaps 30 degrees, on speed, gear down. Smooth landing on speed in touchdown zone. Upon main gear touchdown, reverse thrust was selected to reverse idle. The nose of the aircraft then pitched up several degrees and scraped the tailskid. Information entered in aircraft logbook. Aircraft checked by maintenance and was reported by maintenance as well within the tolerance for a repaint of the tailskid. There was no structural damage to the aircraft.

THE NOSE OF THE ACFT THEN PITCHED UP SEVERAL DEGS AND SCRAPED THE TAILSKID. INFO ENTERED IN ACFT LOGBOOK. ACFT CHKED BY MAINT AND WAS RPTED BY MAINT AS WELL WITHIN THE TOLERANCE FOR A REPAINT OF THE TAILSKID. THERE WAS NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE ACFT.
