Taxiing away from hangar ramp to taxiway, making a right turn, propeller struck a 55 gallon weighted plastic barrel, marking a hole in the pavement. I was unable to see the barrel in my turn.

Narrative: TAXIING AWAY FROM HANGAR RAMP TO TXWY, MAKING A R TURN, PROP STRUCK A 55 GALLON WEIGHTED PLASTIC BARREL, MARKING A HOLE IN THE PAVEMENT. I WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE BARREL IN MY TURN.
