Narrative:
While operating repositioning from mdw to dtw there were no passenger and no known cargo. The captain insisted that the lead flight attendant and the second flight attendant situation in his seat in succession and manipulate the controls. At my airline we are very focused on crew concept and CRM. I was caught completely off guard by the captain's actions and responded in an uncharacteristically poor manner. I have spoken with our professional standards group and have assurances that they will be talking with the captain to ensure that he never puts another copilot in this position of compromise.
