Narrative:
22+ yrs flying 3-MAN crew aircraft B727, B747, DC10, etc. New guy on B777. First officer (experienced glass pilot, very computer FMC literate) flying. Clearance to cross 25 NM north of sax at 7000 ft. Watched first officer enter and execute restr. Aircraft began descent in path. Flight attendants came up with lengthy list of wants (wheelchairs, connect information, cabin write-ups, etc). My attention was diverted longer than I would have liked considering arrival in new york metropolitan area. Completed company radio calls, ATIS, etc. Returned attention to aircraft. I could see we weren't going to make the restr. Before I called center they called me and advised that we missed the restr by 1500 ft. 2 man aircraft, particularly wdbs with a lot of passenger, flight attendants and tired cockpit crews (coming from overseas) are busy, busy places!

Narrative: 22+ YRS FLYING 3-MAN CREW ACFT B727, B747, DC10, ETC. NEW GUY ON B777. FO (EXPERIENCED GLASS PLT, VERY COMPUTER FMC LITERATE) FLYING. CLRNC TO CROSS 25 NM N OF SAX AT 7000 FT. WATCHED FO ENTER AND EXECUTE RESTR. ACFT BEGAN DSCNT IN PATH. FLT ATTENDANTS CAME UP WITH LENGTHY LIST OF WANTS (WHEELCHAIRS, CONNECT INFO, CABIN WRITE-UPS, ETC). MY ATTN WAS DIVERTED LONGER THAN I WOULD HAVE LIKED CONSIDERING ARR IN NEW YORK METRO AREA. COMPLETED COMPANY RADIO CALLS, ATIS, ETC. RETURNED ATTN TO ACFT.
