Narrative:
Level at 17000 ft we saw another aircraft on TCASII, also at 17000 ft. Center frantically gave us an immediate turn to 270 degrees and descend and maintain 16000 ft. We did (full speed brakes) -- conflict avoided. Center thanked us and told us that the other aircraft was cleared by another controller.

Narrative: LEVEL AT 17000 FT WE SAW ANOTHER ACFT ON TCASII, ALSO AT 17000 FT. CTR FRANTICALLY GAVE US AN IMMEDIATE TURN TO 270 DEGS AND DSND AND MAINTAIN 16000 FT. WE DID (FULL SPD BRAKES) -- CONFLICT AVOIDED. CTR THANKED US AND TOLD US THAT THE OTHER ACFT WAS CLRED BY ANOTHER CTLR.
