Narrative:
Flight attendant #1 told us we would land in bos in 5 mins, emergency landing due to no compasses on the aircraft. Captain came back with 25 mins due to burning off fuel. We landed without incident at approximately XA00. Captain did a wonderful job keeping everyone advised. Passenger were comfortable and not too nervous (somewhat nervous). #1 flight attendant's first trip (second day) and he was just great. Wonderful public addresses, etc. A passenger called the news media on aircraft phone. We were on the news the same day. Need to turn aircraft phones off before announcing the problem.
