Narrative:
Summoned back to aircraft after having boarded van en route to overnight hotel. Apparently, ground personnel had responded to aircraft after routine shutdown and postflt inspection. APU was initiated but didn't seem to start. Waited appropriate time for fuel drainage and restarted on ground uneventfully. Once I returned to aircraft, all seemed normal. Was told that someone thought they'd seen a flicker. All was normal when we returned to aircraft. We then returned to van, departed to hotel after talking briefly to ground personnel.
