Narrative:
I was flying, the copilot was talking to ZHN. ZHN gave us a heading of 095 degrees after passing lny VOR. They then proceeded to talk to other aircraft and forgot to hand us off to maui approach. The copilot asked ZHN for a handoff to maui. When he spoke with maui approach, they said we had flown through the localizer for runway 2, then proceeded to give us vectors for the approach.
