Narrative:
Right after finishing the dinner service, I was in the business class galley, when the purser told me that we will divert to lima for the WX radar trouble. It would take approximately 1 hour or less to fix the problem at lima, then we would fly back to dfw as scheduled. When we were close to lima (approximately 45 mins away) captain made a PA that we had a WX radar problem and needed to land in lima to change parts, that we would depart in 1 hour and fly to dfw as scheduled. Flight attendants there were told by the captain, that we may go into an emergency evacuate/evacuation, if in case landing gear collapsed due to the heavy aircraft weight. At landing, all flight attendants are ready for the worst situation, but aircraft landed without any difficulty. After repairs, which took approximately 40 mins, we flew again and headed for dfw safely.
