Narrative:
On jul/xa/99, I performed maintenance to address engineering order wzxz on air carrier aircraft xyz and xwy. I again performed maintenance for engineering order wzxz on jul/xb/99 on aircraft xwx. On all 3 aircraft, I had inadvertently overlooked the item on the job information card for 'required inspection item' for fan cowl latch installation security. All other work was completed properly on these aircraft, and they were released for service. These aircraft accrued flight time until jul/xc/99. At that time another mechanic pointed out to me the 'required inspection item' on the paperwork for engineering change. At about XX00 jul/xd/99 line maintenance was notified of these discrepancies on the involved aircraft. Line maintenance issued job cards to inspect both engine fan cowl latches for security of installation before further flight, on all 3 aircraft now at different locations. This inspection was performed on these 3 aircraft and all were found to be properly installed and secure.
