Narrative:

Holding short for taxi to runway 26L on taxiway a at taxiway 'dixie,' ground control directed taxi to runway 26L, cross runway 26R, left turn on taxiway B to runway 26L, and hold short. Advised to taxi and switch to tower frequency for sequence. While 'head down,' first officer was too late to back captain up with turn (left) on taxiway B. Noted and advised captain about the time he was crossing runway 26L. Stopped on taxiway D and taxiway east just short of taxiing B757 (aircraft Y) eastbound on taxiway east. Then switched back to ground and advised of error. Later told to contact ZTL via land-line.
