Narrative:

Our A319's left wingtip struck a saab 340 rudder while under guideman's control during parking at gate at bos airport. Per SOP, captain flashed taxi light to signal xfer of control to guideman. Captain followed guideman's signals very accurately and taxied at the normal slow taxi-in speed. Approximately 20-30 ft prior to stop, guideman signaled a right turn and captain promptly complied. Received normal stop signal and captain performed a normal stop. No collision was noticed. Performed normal engine shutdown and parking checklist. Captain discovered that left winglet struck saab 340 rudder. Our aircraft was positioned directly on taxi-in line and nosewheel was on stop point.

Narrative: OUR A319'S L WINGTIP STRUCK A SAAB 340 RUDDER WHILE UNDER GUIDEMAN'S CTL DURING PARKING AT GATE AT BOS ARPT. PER SOP, CAPT FLASHED TAXI LIGHT TO SIGNAL XFER OF CTL TO GUIDEMAN. CAPT FOLLOWED GUIDEMAN'S SIGNALS VERY ACCURATELY AND TAXIED AT THE NORMAL SLOW TAXI-IN SPD. APPROX 20-30 FT PRIOR TO STOP, GUIDEMAN SIGNALED A R TURN AND CAPT PROMPTLY COMPLIED. RECEIVED NORMAL STOP SIGNAL AND CAPT PERFORMED A NORMAL STOP. NO COLLISION WAS NOTICED. PERFORMED NORMAL ENG SHUTDOWN AND PARKING CHKLIST. CAPT DISCOVERED THAT L WINGLET STRUCK SAAB 340 RUDDER. OUR ACFT WAS POSITIONED DIRECTLY ON TAXI-IN LINE AND NOSEWHEEL WAS ON STOP POINT.
