Primary Problem | Passenger Human Performance |
Narrative:
Passenger in question arrived for departure late (door was closed). Passenger service agent opened the door for passenger. He did not have a seat assignment. Passenger was told to take any open seat in coach. #4 flight attendant approached me about mid-flight and stated that the passenger in question asked other passenger to move because he wanted to situation in their seat. #4 flight attendant told passenger in question that was not appropriate, that he should take any unoccupied seat. Passenger chose a middle seat (mid cabin) between 2 female passenger. Flight departed on time. Some time during the service, one of the female passenger (27 yrs old) approached #4 flight attendant and asked to be reseated because the passenger in question was touching her inappropriately. Female passenger was moved. Once the service was over, #4 flight attendant told me (#1 flight attendant) of the situation. Female passenger was approached and asked if she wanted security to meet the flight in mia. Female passenger refused. The captain was notified. Captain requested witness names and passenger in question's name. This written, I approached passenger, requested to see his tickets to obtain passenger's name and phone number off tickets for report. The crew's concern was that the passenger in question had a return ticket on aug/xa/99 from mia-lax and if the female passenger didn't want to press charges, the passenger in question could repeat this behavior on his return flight or possibly be seated next to an unaccompanied minor and repeat inappropriate behavior.
