Narrative:

During taxi to our gate, the ground controller told us to hold short of intersection Y12 on taxiway Y. I then went over to our company frequency and reported on the ground. When I came back to the ground frequency, I asked the captain if we were now cleared to the gate. He said that I must be getting tired because we had been cleared to the gate. I explained that I had been off the frequency talking to the company. We taxied to the gate. Ground control told us we were not cleared past intersection Y12!

Narrative: DURING TAXI TO OUR GATE, THE GND CTLR TOLD US TO HOLD SHORT OF INTXN Y12 ON TXWY Y. I THEN WENT OVER TO OUR COMPANY FREQ AND RPTED ON THE GND. WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE GND FREQ, I ASKED THE CAPT IF WE WERE NOW CLRED TO THE GATE. HE SAID THAT I MUST BE GETTING TIRED BECAUSE WE HAD BEEN CLRED TO THE GATE.
