Narrative:
On sep/xa/99, aircraft xyz was scheduled for repair on left pack heater. I was the lead for that aircraft and it had several log write-ups. Available manpwr dictated to work log write-ups first. All items were not completed on my shift, and I gave verbal turnover to foreman of work to be completed. I also entered in computer to show aircraft item being 'in work.' callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was routed into the station for a positive fix on #1 engine pneumatic bleed system. The reporter said the item was deferred and would be out of the MEL time limits in the morning. The reporter said as the lead technician he determined the priorities would be to work the logbook reports first. The reporter said the work turnover was completed and the airplane was released on the next shift and operated for 2 days beyond the MEL limits.
