Narrative:
On aircraft xyz (flight wvx) I deferred a write-up generated after the aircraft's arrival in ZZZ. Aircraft was an etop's going from ZZZ to XXX. I deferred the APU bleed believing the blown duct as after the APU bleed shutoff. I deferred it with the help of the area (team leader -- foreman). I was the acting lead aircraft maintenance technician in the ZZZ maintenance terminal. Subsequently I found out that this duct was before the APU bleed shutoff. During a call from maintenance control I was told the aircraft would be called back to return to ZZZ. When the aircraft returned to ZZZ the duct was replaced with a borrowed part. The aircraft then departed ZZZ for XXX again as flight wvx).
