Narrative:
Loud pop and deviation in egt gauge #1 engine which returned to normal -- suspected blown tire or compressor stall #1 engine. Coordinated with company and approach facilities diverted from fll direct mco (flight was scheduled fll direct bdl). Accomplished 2 low approachs runway 17 at mco, so air carrier maintenance could look at landing gear and tires. Accomplished uneventful landing at runway 18L mco. Xferred passenger to another aircraft and maintenance found remnants of a bird in the engine inlet.
