Air Traffic Incident | Pilot Deviation |
Narrative:
Airway deviation. While in kingston center airspace, I disconnected the autoplt from the navigation mode in order to deviate around some WX. After completing the deviation, I neglected to re-engage the navigation mode of the autoplt. We discovered the omission when making the position report abeam duxun to kingston center. We were correcting back on course when panama control reported us in radar contact east of course. We explained to control that we were through deviating for WX and correcting back to course. Control then cleared us direct to marma and nothing else was said. Time over marma was on schedule.
