Narrative:
Holding for WX. From vectors we were cleared to mizar intersection and told to hold as published. Approaching mizar we had slowed to holding speed and had auxiliary navigation engaged. We briefed the hold and set radios for holding. Dispatch sent new divert data and changed alternate to cle. We were discussing the fuel requirements and checking WX for cle. Upon passing mizar with auxiliary navigation still engaged, ATC asked if we were turning left to enter hold. We began a left turn to re-establish in the hold. The distrs led to my failure to prioritize the navigation and entry into hold. We were VMC in the hold and no traffic conflict was noted. Supplemental information from acn 474110: the fact that the new divert, WX, efc, and fuel discussions all came at one time, led to my distraction from the holding. Supplemental information from acn 474111: we were discussing the fuel requirements and checking WX for day, cle, and dtw. The distrs with the ACARS messages led to my failing to properly back up the pilots when entering holding.

Narrative: HOLDING FOR WX. FROM VECTORS WE WERE CLRED TO MIZAR INTXN AND TOLD TO HOLD AS PUBLISHED. APCHING MIZAR WE HAD SLOWED TO HOLDING SPD AND HAD AUX NAV ENGAGED. WE BRIEFED THE HOLD AND SET RADIOS FOR HOLDING. DISPATCH SENT NEW DIVERT DATA AND CHANGED ALTERNATE TO CLE. WE WERE DISCUSSING THE FUEL REQUIREMENTS AND CHKING WX FOR CLE. UPON PASSING MIZAR WITH AUX NAV STILL ENGAGED, ATC ASKED IF WE WERE TURNING L TO ENTER HOLD. WE BEGAN A L TURN TO RE-ESTABLISH IN THE HOLD. THE DISTRS LED TO MY FAILURE TO PRIORITIZE THE NAV AND ENTRY INTO HOLD. WE WERE VMC IN THE HOLD AND NO TFC CONFLICT WAS NOTED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 474110: THE FACT THAT THE NEW DIVERT, WX, EFC, AND FUEL DISCUSSIONS ALL CAME AT ONE TIME, LED TO MY DISTR FROM THE HOLDING. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 474111: WE WERE DISCUSSING THE FUEL REQUIREMENTS AND CHKING WX FOR DAY, CLE, AND DTW. THE DISTRS WITH THE ACARS MESSAGES LED TO MY FAILING TO PROPERLY BACK UP THE PLTS WHEN ENTERING HOLDING.
