Narrative:
During taxi in at cvg, the left wing of the aircraft struck an air carrier maintenance ladder. Captain was taxiing on centerline of a mandatory taxi line when incident occurred. The ladder was stored behind the double yellow line on the edge of the taxiway. The storage area is not properly located and should be relocated to ensure future safe operations.

Title: AN MD88, WHILE TAXIING, STRUCK A MAINT LADDER PARKED IN A STORAGE AREA INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE L WING.
Narrative: DURING TAXI IN AT CVG, THE L WING OF THE ACFT STRUCK AN ACR MAINT LADDER. CAPT WAS TAXIING ON CTRLINE OF A MANDATORY TAXI LINE WHEN INCIDENT OCCURRED. THE LADDER WAS STORED BEHIND THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE ON THE EDGE OF THE TXWY. THE STORAGE AREA IS NOT PROPERLY LOCATED AND SHOULD BE RELOCATED TO ENSURE FUTURE SAFE OPS.
