Narrative:
I was in the traffic pattern for runway 32 at ugn with a student pilot doing landing training. While in left traffic, I was giving instruction to my student and became distraction. I let the student land the aircraft without hearing a landing clearance from the control tower, and upon exiting the runway for taxi back, I heard nothing from the control tower. I then realized my #1 communication radio had failed while I was in the pattern. I contacted the tower on #2 radio and received a taxi clearance. I then learned that my landing had caused a hawker jet to go around. I caused the jet to go around, because I landed without proper clearance, due to the communication radio failure. I cannot think of any way I could have prevented the incident, but the control tower seemed to be less concerned than I was, and they did not ask me to stop and talk it over, so I guess it wasn't very serious to them.

Title: INSTRUCTOR PLT GIVING LNDG PRACTICE TO A STUDENT IN A C172 LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC DUE TO A FAULTY #1 COMS RADIO. TWR CTLR SENT A BRITISH HAWKER AROUND.
Narrative: I WAS IN THE TFC PATTERN FOR RWY 32 AT UGN WITH A STUDENT PLT DOING LNDG TRAINING. WHILE IN L TFC, I WAS GIVING INSTRUCTION TO MY STUDENT AND BECAME DISTR. I LET THE STUDENT LAND THE ACFT WITHOUT HEARING A LNDG CLRNC FROM THE CTL TWR, AND UPON EXITING THE RWY FOR TAXI BACK, I HEARD NOTHING FROM THE CTL TWR. I THEN REALIZED MY #1 COM RADIO HAD FAILED WHILE I WAS IN THE PATTERN. I CONTACTED THE TWR ON #2 RADIO AND RECEIVED A TAXI CLRNC. I THEN LEARNED THAT MY LNDG HAD CAUSED A HAWKER JET TO GO AROUND. I CAUSED THE JET TO GO AROUND, BECAUSE I LANDED WITHOUT PROPER CLRNC, DUE TO THE COM RADIO FAILURE. I CANNOT THINK OF ANY WAY I COULD HAVE PREVENTED THE INCIDENT, BUT THE CTL TWR SEEMED TO BE LESS CONCERNED THAN I WAS, AND THEY DID NOT ASK ME TO STOP AND TALK IT OVER, SO I GUESS IT WASN'T VERY SERIOUS TO THEM.
