Narrative:
Loss of #1 hydraulic system, declare an emergency. Did the emergency checklist due to the failure of maintenance department placing a caution light in place of #1 hydraulic isolation valve caution light. We completed the flapless landing checklist in place of the #1 hydraulic isolation valve checklist. When we arrived at the gate we figured out the problem, the maintenance department. No injuries resulted from this incident.

Title: A DHC8 ON APCH AT 5000 FT DECLARED AN EMER DUE TO INDICATED LOSS OF #1 HYD SYS CAUSED BY AN INCORRECT LIGHT CAP INSTALLED.
Narrative: LOSS OF #1 HYD SYS, DECLARE AN EMER. DID THE EMER CHKLIST DUE TO THE FAILURE OF MAINT DEPT PLACING A CAUTION LIGHT IN PLACE OF #1 HYD ISOLATION VALVE CAUTION LIGHT. WE COMPLETED THE FLAPLESS LNDG CHKLIST IN PLACE OF THE #1 HYD ISOLATION VALVE CHKLIST. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE GATE WE FIGURED OUT THE PROB, THE MAINT DEPT. NO INJURIES RESULTED FROM THIS INCIDENT.
