Narrative:
I started a descent from 17500 ft MSL and the #2 right engine quit (garrett TPE331-6). I immediately notified ATC and declared an emergency. First, I wanted to go to my destination airport (dal). However, I thought/felt I should land before overflying the metroplex area. I notified ATC that I was going to land at grand prairie airport and asked for the emergency equipment. The #2 engine did not respond to my attempts to restart in-flight due to an inoperative engine driven fuel pump. Our maintenance personnel are still repairing the engine.
