Narrative:
Takeoff runway 32L. At 723 ft, left turn to about 140 degrees (this is a climbing left turn). At completion of turn, student rolled straight to heading of 140 degrees (for upwind leg). At that moment, 3 things happened all at the same time: 1) in my windshield side and forward side window was a v-tailed bonanza aircraft Y. 2) I forced the control wheel over sharply, announcing that I had the aircraft. 3) I retarded all power to idle. The beechcraft never moved an inch up, down, or sideways. I called tower. They were very non committal. We passed directly under the beechcraft about 40 ft. The beechcraft at midfield started his/her descent through the helicopter pattern, landed, and taxied to the ramp. I attempted to get the full call sign from the tower. They refused. What concerns me is there was no call by aircraft Y that we heard. If they called for entry into a class D, tower never informed us. Aircraft Y made straight-in entry (no 45 degree) into our 90 degree turn to the left from runway heading. Our low wing PA28-161 was 'belly up' to the bonanza aircraft Y. They had to have seen us as we were between them and the runway on downwind, the bonanza was not looking for traffic (us). Midfield, the bonanza descended into the helicopter pattern.

Title: INSTRUCTOR HAS AN NMAC IN THE TFC PATTERN AT CCR. COMPLAINS THAT THIS IS A RECURRING PROB.
Narrative: TKOF RWY 32L. AT 723 FT, L TURN TO ABOUT 140 DEGS (THIS IS A CLBING L TURN). AT COMPLETION OF TURN, STUDENT ROLLED STRAIGHT TO HDG OF 140 DEGS (FOR UPWIND LEG). AT THAT MOMENT, 3 THINGS HAPPENED ALL AT THE SAME TIME: 1) IN MY WINDSHIELD SIDE AND FORWARD SIDE WINDOW WAS A V-TAILED BONANZA ACFT Y. 2) I FORCED THE CTL WHEEL OVER SHARPLY, ANNOUNCING THAT I HAD THE ACFT. 3) I RETARDED ALL PWR TO IDLE. THE BEECHCRAFT NEVER MOVED AN INCH UP, DOWN, OR SIDEWAYS. I CALLED TWR. THEY WERE VERY NON COMMITTAL. WE PASSED DIRECTLY UNDER THE BEECHCRAFT ABOUT 40 FT. THE BEECHCRAFT AT MIDFIELD STARTED HIS/HER DSCNT THROUGH THE HELI PATTERN, LANDED, AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP. I ATTEMPTED TO GET THE FULL CALL SIGN FROM THE TWR. THEY REFUSED. WHAT CONCERNS ME IS THERE WAS NO CALL BY ACFT Y THAT WE HEARD. IF THEY CALLED FOR ENTRY INTO A CLASS D, TWR NEVER INFORMED US. ACFT Y MADE STRAIGHT-IN ENTRY (NO 45 DEG) INTO OUR 90 DEG TURN TO THE L FROM RWY HDG. OUR LOW WING PA28-161 WAS 'BELLY UP' TO THE BONANZA ACFT Y. THEY HAD TO HAVE SEEN US AS WE WERE BTWN THEM AND THE RWY ON DOWNWIND, THE BONANZA WAS NOT LOOKING FOR TFC (US). MIDFIELD, THE BONANZA DSNDED INTO THE HELI PATTERN.
