Narrative:
Flying part 135 in alaska, I came to work on dec/fri/99. The night before I spoke with the mechanic about the status of the airplane. He said everything was fine. The next morning I questioned dispatch about a 100 hour due in 2 hours on the old status sheet dated nov/thu/99. He said the plane had just completed 100 hour. I flew dec/fri/99, dec/tue/99 and dec/wed/99. On dec/tue/99 I questioned the mechanic whose signature appeared by the 100 hour status. He said it was completed 30 hours before I flew it. On dec/wed/99 the paperwork could not be found on the 100 hour and the mechanic revised his statement that it wasn't done but a 50 hour was. The problem was that the status sheet in the maintenance log was old. In retrospect, I should have requested a new status report on dec/fri/99 before flying. I flew about 8 hours over the 100 hour.
