Narrative:

During departure captain selected flight director in low bank/SID described turn. 175 degrees until 2.3 DME lga left turn 030 degrees. Captain's rate of turn was insufficient for the SID. ATC advised us we were in jfk airspace. I asked the captain to select normal bank angle, as per the SID, he did not.
