Narrative:
Received clearance to depart runway 8 from tower. On climb out, tower asked if I had a visual on an arrow to my right. I responded no, but was looking. Tower asked a second time if I had visual. Again I responded no, but was looking. I then saw an aircraft which appeared to be climbing as I saw the landing light first, just to my 2 O'clock position. We both turned to the left and I proceeded on my intended course of 022 degrees without further problems. I remained on frequency for the next 15 mins and received no further radio transmission.
