Narrative:

#5 main wheel replaced due to FOD. On subsequent replacement after movement, tire was found to have inner bearing missing. No abnormalities noted during the check of wheel prior to installation. Contributing factors: rain, darkness, supertug waiting to move the aircraft. Problem was discovered during tire pressure check during layover. Corrective actions were replacing tire brake and axle.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE AND OPERATED WITH #5 TIRE ON THE R MAIN GEAR INNER BEARING MISSING INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE AXLE AND WHEEL.

Narrative: #5 MAIN WHEEL REPLACED DUE TO FOD. ON SUBSEQUENT REPLACEMENT AFTER MOVEMENT, TIRE WAS FOUND TO HAVE INNER BEARING MISSING. NO ABNORMALITIES NOTED DURING THE CHK OF WHEEL PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: RAIN, DARKNESS, SUPERTUG WAITING TO MOVE THE ACFT.
