Narrative:

Normal takeoff from runway 5 morristown. Climbed over 100 ft AGL. Retracted gear, thereafter lost power on right engine. Unable to maintain controled flight of piper PA30 on 1 engine. Contact with the grass on east side of runway beyond the intersection with runway 30. Able to turn off master. No fire or personal injury. I have learned from this that it was necessary to recognize the limitations of the piper PA30 in this situation. If I had closed both throttles immediately, it may have been possible to make a controled landing on the runway.
