Narrative:
After checking in with approach, I was informed of similar sounding call sign. Later we were given a heading. After reading back clearance and making turn, controller said we took a clearance for the other aircraft. We were sure we had heard our call sign.

Title: AN EMB CAPT WAS WARNED OF A SIMILAR SOUNDING CALL SIGN ON HIS FREQ WITHIN THE VICINITY OF MCO. LATER HE WAS TOLD THAT HE RESPONDED TO A CLRNC MEANT FOR ANOTHER ACFT.
Narrative: AFTER CHKING IN WITH APCH, I WAS INFORMED OF SIMILAR SOUNDING CALL SIGN. LATER WE WERE GIVEN A HDG. AFTER READING BACK CLRNC AND MAKING TURN, CTLR SAID WE TOOK A CLRNC FOR THE OTHER ACFT. WE WERE SURE WE HAD HEARD OUR CALL SIGN.
