Narrative:
Talking with ZAU 50 mi southwest of fwa at FL310. Received call from center 'cross 10 mi southwest of fwa at 10000 ft.' passing thought FL195, ZAU requested our altitude. Center responded that we had cleared to FL240 and to leveloff at 17000 ft. After a few mins we asked center if we should file a report. Center responded that we should not be concerned and a report on the incident was not necessary.
