Narrative:
Going direct hmv out of gsp on aircraft X. I was PNF making the normal PA associated with turning off the seatbelt sign when I was interrupted by a TA. I switched on the TCASII page, and the communication selector to communication #1. I began looking for traffic. At this time we were climbing through approximately 15000-15500 ft. At that time we got an RA which we followed by descending rapidly. The traffic was at about 12-1 O'clock and about 1/2 - 1 mi away. When we leveled out and came into sight, it was a PA46 which appeared in cruise. ATC never notified us, and didn't seem to have any idea of what had taken place. The other traffic was notified after our report of a deviation. Based on the other aircraft's altitude, he was in cruise and VFR. After clear of the conflict, we didn't hear any more about it and was handed off to the next controller.
