Narrative:
Made approach without confirming gear status. Power was applied, but left propeller made minimal contact with ground. Approach was being made after cargo landing door 'popped' open in flight. A&P inspected aircraft and noted that damage was minimal. Propeller was repaired within 1 hour of occurrence. No stoppage or reduction of engine RPM occurred.

Title: A PA23-160 COMMERCIAL PLT ALMOST LANDS GEAR UP UNTIL HE FEELS THE PROP STRIKE ON THE L SIDE, CREATING THE NEED FOR A GAR AT ILE, TX.
Narrative: MADE APCH WITHOUT CONFIRMING GEAR STATUS. PWR WAS APPLIED, BUT L PROP MADE MINIMAL CONTACT WITH GND. APCH WAS BEING MADE AFTER CARGO LNDG DOOR 'POPPED' OPEN IN FLT. A&P INSPECTED ACFT AND NOTED THAT DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL. PROP WAS REPAIRED WITHIN 1 HR OF OCCURRENCE. NO STOPPAGE OR REDUCTION OF ENG RPM OCCURRED.
