Primary Problem | Passenger Human Performance |
Narrative:
On feb/xa/00, our flight was extremely overbooked, due to the bad WX in new york over the weekend. Passenger were extremely anxious. The agent and myself were onboard the aircraft asking for volunteers, this caused a delay approximately 10 mins. When a passenger came forward and started screaming at flight attendant #2, using profanity and swinging his arms around. When she hollered for the captain, (because she was afraid of what he may do) he jumped around her, grabbed my arm and yanked me towards him, asking how we were going to accommodate him for being late, and his misconnection. The police, and flight service manager on duty were called. We later found out the police never arrived at the scene. And the passenger pulled 'a fast one' by going to another agent, stating he was a volunteer, and was re-routed and given a $1500 travel voucher (later revoked). We have been advised his return trip will be met and he will be spoken to and also made aware the voucher is revoked and passenger's misconduct is on file.
