Narrative:
FAA aircraft inspector boarded flight and introduced himself and presented his credentials. He left to do an exterior inspection. Shortly, he returned followed by security. Within several mins he was escorted from the plane and appeared to be handcuffed. Cockpit was inspected for any unknown material. None was found and flight proceeded normally. Supplemental information from acn 465256: upon completion of my walkaround on air carrier flight abcd iad-ord, an FAA inspector met me at and opened jetway door for me. I was told earlier by gate agent we had an inspector. I saw his identify and he asked me the door code. I went to cockpit to continue my preflight. I then left the jet to get new paperwork. When I came back a while later, the police were talking to FAA inspector who seemed upset. I left the area. The police then escorted FAA off in handcuffs.
