The flight attendants were apprised of my decision to return to dfw and to prepare for a normal landing. The landing gear was extended using alternate extension procedures. The flaps were extended according to the alternate flap extension procedures. The flight crew ended without incident. My copilot handled his duties in an exemplary manner.
