Narrative:
We were cleared on the angel two FMS departure to maintain 2000 ft. Upon switching to socal departure, we were told to maintain visual contact with preceding citation. Captain was flying and watching citation. First officer was busy with cockpit duties. Altitude warning sounded, MCP altitude set at 2000 ft. Captain immediately corrected back to 2000 ft. Socal asked our altitude as we descended through 2200 ft.

Title: ALT OVERSHOOT ON LAX DEP.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED ON THE ANGEL TWO FMS DEP TO MAINTAIN 2000 FT. UPON SWITCHING TO SOCAL DEP, WE WERE TOLD TO MAINTAIN VISUAL CONTACT WITH PRECEDING CITATION. CAPT WAS FLYING AND WATCHING CITATION. FO WAS BUSY WITH COCKPIT DUTIES. ALT WARNING SOUNDED, MCP ALT SET AT 2000 FT. CAPT IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED BACK TO 2000 FT.
