Narrative:
Just outside the parkk LOM, ATC cleared us for the ILS runway 16R approach to sea (gear down, flaps 15-20 degrees). Approach was being flown under monitored approach procedures for CAT III check. After calling for flaps 30-40 degrees, as the aircraft was turning to final approach course, smoke was noted in cockpit. Captain noted avionics smoke light on overhead panel concurrent with chime. ECAM presented successive fire warning procedures. Donned oxygen masks. Captain's mask failed to function properly and he set it aside. I maintained control of aircraft while captain placed headset on and declared emergency. Captain took control of aircraft, disconnected autoplt (now VMC), and set up for normal landing. Smoke density increased slowly throughout. Goggles not used, no eye irritation noted. No instrument failures noted. On deck, captain taxied clear of runway 16R onto taxiway M, stopped, and shut down. With all power off, smoke dissipated, aircraft doors were opened and we turned aircraft over to fire department, then air carrier maintenance.

Title: AN A300 FREIGHTER FLC EXPERIENCES SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT WITH AN ECAM WARNING WHILE OUTSIDE THE FAF FOR RWY 16R AT SEA, WA.
Narrative: JUST OUTSIDE THE PARKK LOM, ATC CLRED US FOR THE ILS RWY 16R APCH TO SEA (GEAR DOWN, FLAPS 15-20 DEGS). APCH WAS BEING FLOWN UNDER MONITORED APCH PROCS FOR CAT III CHK. AFTER CALLING FOR FLAPS 30-40 DEGS, AS THE ACFT WAS TURNING TO FINAL APCH COURSE, SMOKE WAS NOTED IN COCKPIT. CAPT NOTED AVIONICS SMOKE LIGHT ON OVERHEAD PANEL CONCURRENT WITH CHIME. ECAM PRESENTED SUCCESSIVE FIRE WARNING PROCS. DONNED OXYGEN MASKS. CAPT'S MASK FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY AND HE SET IT ASIDE. I MAINTAINED CTL OF ACFT WHILE CAPT PLACED HEADSET ON AND DECLARED EMER. CAPT TOOK CTL OF ACFT, DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT (NOW VMC), AND SET UP FOR NORMAL LNDG. SMOKE DENSITY INCREASED SLOWLY THROUGHOUT. GOGGLES NOT USED, NO EYE IRRITATION NOTED. NO INST FAILURES NOTED. ON DECK, CAPT TAXIED CLR OF RWY 16R ONTO TXWY M, STOPPED, AND SHUT DOWN. WITH ALL PWR OFF, SMOKE DISSIPATED, ACFT DOORS WERE OPENED AND WE TURNED ACFT OVER TO FIRE DEPT, THEN ACR MAINT.
