Narrative:
Gate pushback. Pushback from sju. First officer contacted ramp control for pushback. Ramp control responded with 'cleared to push contact ground for taxi.' first officer repeats clearance back to ramp control. When ready to taxi ground control was contacted and asked who had cleared us to push. Upon return to sju, captain contacted tower supervisor to address problem.

Narrative: GATE PUSHBACK. PUSHBACK FROM SJU. FO CONTACTED RAMP CTL FOR PUSHBACK. RAMP CTL RESPONDED WITH 'CLRED TO PUSH CONTACT GND FOR TAXI.' FO REPEATS CLRNC BACK TO RAMP CTL. WHEN READY TO TAXI GND CTL WAS CONTACTED AND ASKED WHO HAD CLRED US TO PUSH. UPON RETURN TO SJU, CAPT CONTACTED TWR SUPVR TO ADDRESS PROB.
