Narrative:
Conducting a tour of nyc, flying north up the hudson near 40TH street manhattan, being worked by laguardia approach. Told to report over central park at 1000 ft. (We had requested 'tower cabin attendant route' to farmingdale.) we asked for class B clearance at which time the controller panicked, told us we were already in the class B and to make an immediate right turn (tight turn) wbound. We followed his instructions exactly from the beginning.
