Narrative:
Departed runway 13 on whitestone climb out. At about 1.5 DME we were instructed to contact departure. On initial contact we were instructed to turn to 320 degrees. I acknowledged, but departure repeated the instruction. I acknowledged again and still departure did not hear me. First officer was flying and had started the turn with first instruction. After another acknowledgement departure finally heard me and mentioned his radio was cutting out on him. As we continued the turn the flight director command bars on both ADI's disappeared along with the roll annunciation on both FMA's. The heading light was also on. Departure then told us to tighten up the turn to avoid jfk airspace. We increased the bank and about 2 mins later the heading light went out. The roll FMA returned as did the command bars. System operated normally for the rest of the flight. The combination of the controller's radio and the heading problem caused us to overshoot the ground track on climb out.

Title: AN MD80 IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF AT 2500 FT DEP CTL RADIO BECAME INTERMITTENT AND FLT DIRECTOR FAILED ALLOWING EXCURSION INTO JFK AIRSPACE.
Narrative: DEPARTED RWY 13 ON WHITESTONE CLBOUT. AT ABOUT 1.5 DME WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT DEP. ON INITIAL CONTACT WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO TURN TO 320 DEGS. I ACKNOWLEDGED, BUT DEP REPEATED THE INSTRUCTION. I ACKNOWLEDGED AGAIN AND STILL DEP DID NOT HEAR ME. FO WAS FLYING AND HAD STARTED THE TURN WITH FIRST INSTRUCTION. AFTER ANOTHER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DEP FINALLY HEARD ME AND MENTIONED HIS RADIO WAS CUTTING OUT ON HIM. AS WE CONTINUED THE TURN THE FLT DIRECTOR COMMAND BARS ON BOTH ADI'S DISAPPEARED ALONG WITH THE ROLL ANNUNCIATION ON BOTH FMA'S. THE HDG LIGHT WAS ALSO ON. DEP THEN TOLD US TO TIGHTEN UP THE TURN TO AVOID JFK AIRSPACE. WE INCREASED THE BANK AND ABOUT 2 MINS LATER THE HDG LIGHT WENT OUT. THE ROLL FMA RETURNED AS DID THE COMMAND BARS. SYS OPERATED NORMALLY FOR THE REST OF THE FLT. THE COMBINATION OF THE CTLR'S RADIO AND THE HDG PROB CAUSED US TO OVERSHOOT THE GND TRACK ON CLBOUT.
