Narrative:

Aircraft dispatched with inoperative APU. During cruise flight, various right/#2 system began to function erratically. Aircraft dispatched with inoperative APU. During cruise flight, electrical failure occurred with AC xtie lockout/right AC bus off/right generator off and dc bus off lights on. Operations manual procedure reset generator. Generator on restored right AC power for about 20 seconds then failure recurred. Declared emergency and landed at abq with only left side AC system pwred. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated maintenance advised the failure was caused by a failed #2 engine generator. The reporter said the APU was deferred as inoperative so no backup power was available.

THE RPTR SAID THE APU WAS DEFERRED AS INOP SO NO BACKUP PWR WAS AVAILABLE.
