DA50 in cruise FL310. New captain programming uns-1C VNAV function when autoplt engaged vertical climb mode and climbed 800 ft before a non negative 'G' maneuvering stop climb. No comment from center, no TCASII targets within 40 NM. Second occurrence of autoplt pitch up in less than 1 week. Maintenance bite check upon landing showed no fault codes. Returned to service.
