Narrative:
After clearing with clearance delivery, a call was made to ground control for taxi instructions to runway 27L. I was told to taxi to runway 27L. Once turned from the parking facility I was already at runway 27L. After thinking about this I assumed, because I was already at runway 27L that I should taxi into position and call tower. The tower then gave me an immediate takeoff. After being turned onto my route and cleared to altitude, I was notified to call the tower upon my arrival at my destination. During the phone conversation I was informed of my incursion. My explanation was accepted, but I do believe that because of the closeness of parking to runway 26L at pbi this will happen to others. An instruction to hold short would have avoided this and the ones that are going to happen in the future. Runway 27L seems to be a runway that was made from the end of a taxiway.

Title: A PA32 PVT PLT LINES UP ON RWY 27L WHEN INSTRUCTED TO 'TAXI TO' AT PBI, FL.
Narrative: AFTER CLRING WITH CLRNC DELIVERY, A CALL WAS MADE TO GND CTL FOR TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO RWY 27L. I WAS TOLD TO TAXI TO RWY 27L. ONCE TURNED FROM THE PARKING FACILITY I WAS ALREADY AT RWY 27L. AFTER THINKING ABOUT THIS I ASSUMED, BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY AT RWY 27L THAT I SHOULD TAXI INTO POS AND CALL TWR. THE TWR THEN GAVE ME AN IMMEDIATE TKOF. AFTER BEING TURNED ONTO MY RTE AND CLRED TO ALT, I WAS NOTIFIED TO CALL THE TWR UPON MY ARR AT MY DEST. DURING THE PHONE CONVERSATION I WAS INFORMED OF MY INCURSION. MY EXPLANATION WAS ACCEPTED, BUT I DO BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE OF THE CLOSENESS OF PARKING TO RWY 26L AT PBI THIS WILL HAPPEN TO OTHERS. AN INSTRUCTION TO HOLD SHORT WOULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS AND THE ONES THAT ARE GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. RWY 27L SEEMS TO BE A RWY THAT WAS MADE FROM THE END OF A TXWY.
