Narrative:
After briefing ILS approach, and completing all descent (preliminary approach) checklists. While on vectors for ILS runway 18R, I tuned the #1 navigation to the ILS runway 18L frequency. The first officer had the #2 navigation tuned to clt VOR for the DME information. I failed to identify the #1 navigation. Clt approach vectored us for the intercept and cleared us for the approach. We flew through the localizer for runway 18R and intercepted the runway 18L localizer. Clt approach noticed we were off course and gave us an immediate turn to intercept the runway 18R localizer. We complied and completed the approach and landing without further incident.

Title: CAPT OF A B737-200 MISTUNED THE ILS TO THE WRONG PARALLEL RWY CAUSING APCH CTLR TO SEE THE OFF COURSE PROB AND PROVIDE A VECTOR BACK TO THE CORRECT PARALLEL RWY.
Narrative: AFTER BRIEFING ILS APCH, AND COMPLETING ALL DSCNT (PRELIMINARY APCH) CHKLISTS. WHILE ON VECTORS FOR ILS RWY 18R, I TUNED THE #1 NAV TO THE ILS RWY 18L FREQ. THE FO HAD THE #2 NAV TUNED TO CLT VOR FOR THE DME INFO. I FAILED TO IDENT THE #1 NAV. CLT APCH VECTORED US FOR THE INTERCEPT AND CLRED US FOR THE APCH. WE FLEW THROUGH THE LOC FOR RWY 18R AND INTERCEPTED THE RWY 18L LOC. CLT APCH NOTICED WE WERE OFF COURSE AND GAVE US AN IMMEDIATE TURN TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 18R LOC. WE COMPLIED AND COMPLETED THE APCH AND LNDG WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
