Narrative:
Departing south from aff, skirting cos class C, on frequency 118.5 for flight following, controller said you're in restr airspace and gave a westerly vector. We complied. We may have penetrated by 1/2 mi, but, that's why I have students check in with a controller and not beam squawking 1200. Instructional flts are busy and it's a team effort avoiding traffic and staying out of restr airspace.

Narrative: DEPARTING S FROM AFF, SKIRTING COS CLASS C, ON FREQ 118.5 FOR FLT FOLLOWING, CTLR SAID YOU'RE IN RESTR AIRSPACE AND GAVE A WESTERLY VECTOR. WE COMPLIED. WE MAY HAVE PENETRATED BY 1/2 MI, BUT, THAT'S WHY I HAVE STUDENTS CHK IN WITH A CTLR AND NOT BEAM SQUAWKING 1200. INSTRUCTIONAL FLTS ARE BUSY AND IT'S A TEAM EFFORT AVOIDING TFC AND STAYING OUT OF RESTR AIRSPACE.
