Narrative:
Climbing out of dtw through 10000 ft, all non primary electrical bus electrical shut off and then reset. It started doing this at random. We requested a vector to our home base, ptk. We were given a vector, but flight instruments were unreliable due to the repeated electrical failures. We were IMC, so we declared an emergency. When we broke out at 9000 ft, we continued visually 20 mi to pontiac. Random failures continued until we taxied in. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the cause of the intermittent failure of the primary electrical power system was not reported by maintenance. The reporter said second hand information was some type of dc generator failure.

Title: A HAWKER 125-700 IN CLB AT 10000 FT DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED DUE TO INTERMITTENT PRIMARY ELECTRICAL PWR FAILURE CAUSE UNKNOWN.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE CAUSE OF THE INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF THE PRIMARY ELECTRICAL PWR SYS WAS NOT RPTED BY MAINT. THE RPTR SAID SECOND HAND INFO WAS SOME TYPE OF DC GENERATOR FAILURE.
