Narrative:
On vector 220 degrees magnetic and continued descent clearance to 6000 ft approximately 2.3 NM north of ILS runway 26L centerline, told to level off by ATC immediately, was passing 6600 ft, got TA indicating traffic at 6200 ft and descending. Aircraft passed 1-2 NM south of us on easterly heading. No comment/explanation given by ATC. No RA by TCASII.
